We’d love to read your work. Be part of our first issue, On Becoming and help us platform Black queer creatives in Boston.
If your work doesn’t fall in the Writers, Photographers and Visual Artists bucket, feel free to submit anyway! We’d love to incorporate your art however possible.

The guidelines for submissions are as follows:
- All submissions must be provided here.
- Must identify with the Black and queer labels to submit.
- No full novels, novellas, or anything over 10 pages double spaced please.
- You may submit up to 3 pieces of work. Don’t worry, we’d love to see more in our next issue <3
- You can access this submission form until Friday, September 25 at 11:59 pm EST
- Along with your submission, please include: your name or pen name, any socials/website if you’d like those included (not required), and a short biography about yourself in the 3rd person. You may submit a picture with your biography if you feel comfortable doing so.
- All accepted submissions will undergo a collaborative editing process.
- This goes without saying, but racism, transphobia, and hostility will not be tolerated or printed.
- If your work is chosen, we will be in contact with you via e-mail by Friday, October 2nd to discuss further!
